Dougal Geddes
Dougal Geddes is a University of New South Wales Law and Commerce graduate – and he joined Ian in 1978.
Dougal has extensive experience in all commercial matters, and in dealing and providing advice to clients in all types of business, conveyancing and leasing transactions. He also has acquired practical expertise in the various alternate dispute resolution procedures. Dougal now specialises in preparing Wills and succession planning generally, and in advising executors in relation to the administration of Estates. He is also currently a member of both the Law Society of New South Wales "Elder Law & Succession" and "Ethics" Committees.
Dougal has clients throughout NSW and has broad experience in advising on issues relating to rural practice and all family "structures".
Dougal & Ian initially met playing rugby and cricket, and their interest and involvement and administration in sport has continued and remains.
Dougal is currently a member of the Sydney Junior Rugby Union Judiciary and he still referees rugby games throughout Sydney on winter weekends. |

Ian Foulsham
Ian Foulsham is a graduate of the University of Sydney, and founded the firm in 1973. Ian has worked as a general practitioner concentrating on general and commercial conveyancing, leasing and family relations. Ian gained an abundance of experience by serving as a Children's Court Duty Solicitor for 15 years. He also has mediation training with LEADR. |

Paul Dillon
Paul Dillon joined the firm in 2001. After graduating in law at the University of Sydney in 1973, Paul practised in London with a major firm of solicitors for three years. On returning to Sydney, Paul joined a leading national firm of insurance lawyers where he was a partner for 14 years specialising in professional indemnity, fidelity, product liability and public liability claims as well as insurance coverage and reinsurance disputes.
Paul is a senior litigation practitioner and advises clients on the resolution of a wide range of commercial and administrative law disputes in Federal and State courts and tribunals.
Paul first met Ian and Dougal on the sporting field and shares their interest in sports administration and community service. |

Alexis Kaczmarek
Alexis Kaczmarek joined our team in July 2011. She began a Degree in International and Global Studies at the University of Sydney before transferring to the Australian National University to study Law. She is currently in her final year of study and working full time as a paralegal, assisting Dougal, Ian and Paul with their matters. She is looking forward to being admitted and practicing litigation. |
Community & Professional Involvement
In addition to their professional roles, members of the firm are all keen to contribute to their community. They are active volunteers for community and charitable organisations, including the Salvation Army, Starlight Foundation, Rotary and Matesabroad Foundation. They have also been involved and served in honorary positions in various junior and senior sporting organisations, and have done so for the last 30 years!
Dougal has also served on a number of Law Society committees including the Professional Standards, Succession & Estate Law and Ethics.

Sue Davidson
Sue Davidson joined the firm in April 1999 and has extensive administrative experience and a paralegal diploma. Sue had originally graduated in Arts (majoring in French and Russian) from Sheffield University before travelling the world and then working in Zambia and the United Arab Emirates. She has 3 adult sons and maintains an interest in travel and all cultural and multicultural issues. Sue works as Ian's personal assistant/paralegal, is a Justice of the Peace and also acts in the role of the firm's HR manager. |

Laura Elbayeh
Laura Elbayeh has worked in the legal profession since 1998 gaining experience in various areas of law. She has successfully completed the Law Society Conveyancing Course and the Advanced Diploma of Conveyancing. After completing her studies, Laura took time off to travel. She joined us in February 2006 as the Conveyancer assisting both Ian and Dougal. She has since obtained her Conveyancing Licence and is also a Justice of the Peace. |

Susan Sydes
Susan Sydes joined the firm in June 2009. After completing her HSC in 2001 she worked in a secretarial and administrative role for a construction company until 2005. In 2005 Susan joined a commercial printing company working in an accounting, administrative and customer service role. Susan assists and works with Dougal in relation to all Probate and Administration matters. She also manages the day to day running of the office and looks after IT. Susan is a Justice of the Peace. She has also completed the Law Society's Wills & Probate course. |

Romana
Romana joined our team in November 2011. She is originally from the Netherlands, where she completed a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Utrecht in 2010. She first came to Sydney on an exchange program with Sydney University Law School in 2009, and returned to do a Master of Laws at the University of Sydney which she completed in 2011. Romana is very passionate about family law, especially divorce law and adoption law. Romana currently works in a front desk role, managing the day to day running of the office, as well as assisting Dougal and Ian in various matters. |
