Domestic violence and AVOs

Domestic violence generally occurs when a family member is violent and/or abusive towards another member of the family. Domestic violence is not limited to physical abuse. Often, domestic violence is less obvious, taking the form of verbal, emotional, sexual or economic abuse, threats or intimidation.
