Individual Employment Contracts

In 2012 about 38% of all employees were bound by an individual employment contract.

An employment contract is a contract between an employer and an employee that governs the employment relationship.

The employment contract is different to a statutory agreement, such as an enterprise agreement.

It is important to note that an employment contract may also incorporate such thing such as statutory regulations/rules, human resources policies and other company policies. It may also include representations made by an employer during the course of recruitment or the course of employment.
